How much does it cost?
Christmas Central Drive Thru is a completely FREE event. Thanks to our amazing sponsors, we are able to put together our event for free again. Please do not sell or buy tickets for this event.
Booking is essential to secure your time slot.
What should I expect?
​Christmas Central Drive Thru is an event organised by Central Newcastle in Warners Bay as a free, covid-safe Christmas experience for the whole family. As you drive thru to each station you will see many familiar faces such as Buddy the Elf, Olaf, Anna, Elsa, the Grinch and of course Santa and Mrs Claus. As you experience the sounds and sights of the wonder of Christmas as you are guided through each station to find the heart of Christmas.
How long does it take to drive around the whole site?
We recommend to prepare for Christmas Central Drive Thru as a 20 minute experience from start to finish, depending on our traffic flow. This is why our time slots are in 20 minute increments. To experience all 7 stations we highly recommend arriving right on time for your time slot. Please don’t arrive any earlier as you may be asked to come back.
What is the best time slot to experience the lights?
Christmas Central Drive Thru is a highly interactive event, with special characters at each station, we believe all time slots will be amazing. To experience the best sights of our lighting display we recommend booking a time slot any time after 8pm.
What happens if it rains?
Unfortunately, as weather is out of our control and Christmas Central Drive Thru is an outdoor event there is the chance we may have to cancel on any given night due to dangerous weather. Please turn your notifications on in the Central Newcastle App and keep up to date on all of our social media platforms to be informed, especially if you are concerned about the date you have booked for.
How many tickets do I need to book per car?
Please only book one ticket per car. On our ticketing website you will have the option to let us know how many people will be attending in your car, however as this is such a high demand event we ask you only book one ticket per car and only one time slot. We would love as many people as possible in our community to experience this event.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your confirmation email of your time slot to show our Elves at Elf HQ. This will help us confirm you are arriving at the correct time of your booking. To make sure you have the best experience please arrive right on time. As this event is time slot based you will be asked to come back later if you arrive early.. As this is a volunteer event we do also ask you bring your best Christmas cheer. We know with the high volume of cars that will be attending the event there may be traffic delays, please bear with us as we navigate getting our community through this free event.
Do I need to download anything?
To ensure you experience all of the sights and sounds as you are guided through Christmas Central Drive Thru we recommend downloading our Central Newcastle App. This will have the sound track which will take you on the journey to find the heart of Christmas. It is free and can be found by searching “Central Newcastle” on Google Play or the App Store.
Can I get out of my car?
The safety and security of all our attendees and volunteers at Christmas Central Drive Thru is our highest priority. Due to this, we ask that all drivers and passengers remain in their vehicles at all times. In case of emergency please let one of our Elves know and they will assist you out of the drive thru safely.
Can I reschedule my ticket if I can’t make it on the day I booked?
Unfortunately due to the high demand of this event we will not be able to issue rebooking or rescheduling. We recommend ensuring that you are available on the date you wish to attend and book for that night only. Tickets are only valid for the time slot and date you are booked.
